Vitamin B2 - The Ultimate Crash Course on Riboflavin to include, disease, deficiency signs and symptoms, food sources, and more.

Can gluten cause vitamin B2 deficiency? Should those with a celiac diagnosis be concerned with supplementing vitamin B2 in their diet? The simple answer is yes, but before we dive into the connection between gluten sensitivity and vitamin B2 deficiency, let’s take a look at why B2 is such an important nutrient necessary for the health and well being of your body.

The B vitamins are often grouped together when discussed. And we’re often told B vitamins give us energy. And that’s true. B vitamins are used by our bodies to help make energy. But B vitamins do much more than that. And each B vitamin deserves a separate discussion. So today I’m going to discuss vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin.

01:01 - What is Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)?
03:03 - Common Symptoms of B2: Light Sensitivity, Fatigue, Skin Inflammation
12:00 - Major Contributors to B2 Deficiency: Gluten, Alcohol, Stress
19:00 - Vicious Cycle: B2 and Processed Foods
21:00 - Diseases Linked to B2 Deficiency: Preeclampsia, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure
26:00 - What Foods are Rich in Vitamin B2?
29:00 - How Do You Supplement Riboflavin?
34:00 - Live Q&A Discussion

Def. one of the better videos I've seen on a B vitamin deficiency.

There's one thing however that I sorely miss on almost every video or text on b vitamins: Looking at a single B vitamin instead of all of them as a system and pointing out the commonalities, interconnections and differences.

What I‘d *like* to see is:
* which symptoms are typical for all or many B vitamin deficiencies
* which symptoms are typical or exclusive to one specific B vitamin deficiency
* how do I go about narrowing it down/testing and how do I monitor/observe to make sure I‘m not coming to false conclusions.

I feel like I keep watching the same lecture with different titles. B9, B12, B1, B2, B6, homocysteine, …

Hello Dr. Osborne. I just found you on YouTube today. Everything that you talking about it's so important for me to know and to learn from you. My Doctor never mentioned any of this Vitamin B forms. And i know, I desperately needed this treatment. I don't know how to get in touch with you. I have CKD and DIABETES. I am worrying about the CKD THE MOST. Thank you, 👏👏👏😍🌻🌻

Thank you for your videos!
I agree on the point about excess water consumption. For my kidney I should increase, BUT increase minerals too! For work (where I fast=no glucose!) I add some mineral salt and magnesium to 1 bottle of no gas water. Maybe this practical tip helps you 🙏

Fitness guys do this too when exercising and they fatigue a lot less. Even roman soldiers knew that and historically salt supply was highly important for performance, endurance, moving, training, fitness.

Hi, do we really have to get the active form of vitamin b2 to supplement? p5p i think it is called .. or can we just use the normal vitamin b2 Riboflavin 100mg? I think the latter form does work for me, and have yellow urine from it. i also take a active b complex every now and then.

What "Crash course"?! This is over an hour!! A Crash course is supposed to be short... I want to learn about this, but I don't have an hour... I'll catch what I can. I've had eye doctors tell me I'm the most light-sensitive person they've ever seen. Very valuable information - glad I watched! thank you
