Thank you for this tip. I am left eye dominant and always use it when lining up shots and putts, but I was not aware of where to address the ball when putting (ball drop from dominant eye). I am looking forward to trying this!

I’m right handed but left eye dominant. I actually practiced putting with my right eye closed. I actually make more putts by not even opening my right eye at all. Not sure if anyone else does this but it seems to work for me. I don’t do this on any putts greater than 10 feet or so. On long putts, I’m more concerned with not 3 putting so I’m mainly focused on putting the ball no more than 2 feet from the hole but never short. I don’t always do it right but it’s a theory anyway. He said it backwards.
Look at the object and the eye that doesn't move the object is the dominant eye. So his dominant eye is the right eye. Most often if you are right handed right eye is dominant

Good information, thanks. I am right handed and my best putting has been left hand low. Also seems to be better when I place the ball slightly forward, which makes sense as I just checked this and am left eye dominant. Will be more conscious of this when I go out tomorrow, maybe a little more attention to detail will help.

Going to try exactly this. Can relate it to shooting a firearm. All these years have been doing it wrong. I'm left eye dominant but right handed. Dramatic improvement using the left eye for aim.

Left eye, left hand.

I close the right eye and use the “stripe on the ball” to line the ball to the “hit it here to make the break” spot. It has improved my aim. Now to work on the energy into the ball to get it into the hole. Would love to see a video on this. (Full disclosure, I haven’t looked at your other videos).

Hi Tom, I recently started using the line on the ball to line up my putt. When I then addressed the ball it looked like the line was pointing almost 30° left of where I thought it would. My putting has greatly improved since I started using th he line on the ball! I'm right eye dominant but have been playing the ball under my left eye. Very interested to try your tip.

My dominant eye is my left, which I think was causing me issues as when I stood over the ball after aligning it it always looked or seemed that the ball was aligned left of my target. You should know that I’m right handed and play left handed ? Which means that my left eye was furthest from the hole? I seemed to have more success putting when I opened my stance?
