I remember that footsteps video.. and in the time since then my approach to and view of footsteps behind me has changed. It used to be one of competition, scarcities and loss. Now if someone else is working to take what I have, I give it to them.. because the “things” meant for me cannot be taken. My race is mine and no one else’s. I can look at their pace and appreciate it for what it is. Theirs. It can inspire me to work harder, or smarter or both. With gratitude. That’s as far as the comparison goes. Hearing this video, I’m on the right track and at the right speed for me because everything I’ve thought since the first line, is similar to the words you’ve said. I’m posting this pretty much at the half way point.
