A soft and tender baked donut recipe that only takes 15 minutes! These donuts are extremely easy to make, taste just like a piece of cake and look adorable with a bright colored glaze and fun sprinkles. Perfect for birthdays, a weekend treat or even a wedding, these donuts can be customized to be any flavor you like.



Donuts►
7 ounces (198 g) all-purpose flour
6 ounces (170 g) granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
2 ounces (56 g) vegetable oil
4 ounces (141 g) buttermilk room temperature
1 large egg room temperature
3 ounces (85 g) unsalted butter melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Glaze►
10 ounces (283 g) powdered sugar about 2 cups
2 Tablespoons water or milk add more water for thinner glaze, more sugar for thicker glaze
2 drops white food coloring I use Americolor gel
1-2 drops food coloring I use Americolor electric pink and

Whisk or hand mixer
Donut Pan
Wire cooling rack
Sheet pan for catching glaze drips

Hi .. I tried this recipe and OMG!! they are WOW! And even when i used the nutmeg in it, my glace was lavender with lavender buds.. And they just complemented well they will be on my next party for sure. Thank you.

Excelente receta, gracias por compartir. A 400 °F tomo menos de 10 min pues las hice en formato mini. La consistencia es de torta, voy a cambiar a canela o rayadura de limón como sugeriste. Quedan hermosaaass, redondas excelente para decorar. Super contenta con esta receta. Saludos cordiales desde Venezuela. Te sigo en español o en Inglés pero muy considerado traducir al Español.
