Just for future reference and to further elaborate I would prefer to check in following order battery, battery connection and battery terminals and if you have verified this you could do an alternator removal put it in your bag take it to the nearest auto pats store and have it tested most of my stores do it for free.I appreciate it!

My 97 Pontiac sunfire with new battery and alternator only engage the alternator when weather is cool around 70 degrees Fahrenheit but if the weather goes up around the upper 90's the car will only run on battery charge and alternator will not engage. Any idea to where to look for the cause of this problem?

I replaced my battery my battery cables and the alternator and battery light stillness on and off. It will come on for 10 min than off for 30 min than back on and so on what would cause this after replacing everything to do with battery and alternator 2008 Ford edge
