Both are great. Both are songs from Lum's perspective being madly in love with Ataru who is a cheating bastard. I like the new one more because it shows Ataru being a general womanizer and Lum constant pestering. The old one implied too heavily that Shinobu was a more important character than she really was.

I like the older one the most. The new version is still great though. I'm a little biased towards older Anime. I'm glad a new generation of Anime fans are experiencing a classic series . I wasn't expecting a new revival of the series. But I'm pleased with what was done so far. The older one will always me my top one though.

I never tried watching the 80's TV series version of this, just only the movie version shown on Japanese cable channel in my old cable provider, until i tried the reboot version on my streaming service i've watched.
