The Godless explanation is the Continental Drift. The Biblical explanation is Noah's Flood. I find the former more harder to believe now.

Sea animals don't form fossils in the ocean because they decompose to dust before becoming covered with sediments. Since continental slabs are always above sea level, only a great deluge will produce sea fossils on the continents. Plate tectonics don't lift sea floor up to continental altitude. If you assume the standard plate tectonics model, continents only move around.

It wasn't plate tectonics. It was a global flood.

Those places didn't used to be mountain. When the mountains formed by uplift the fossils went with the rocks.

Continental sediment uplift is created by plate tectonics where two plates are impacted into one another.

And they are perfect fossils, which can't happen over millions of years of slow burial.
