Super Easy Peanut Free Granola Bars Recipe! (Highlights)

Показать описание
These super easy homemade granola bars are not only delicious, but a healthy, kid approved, peanut/ tree nut allergy friendly snack! All ingredients are mixed in the same pot and then baked very briefly in the oven. They are soft, slightly crispy, and the added spices give them the warm taste of home. My kids love these so they don't last very long in our house. However, they could be kept in the fridge up to two weeks or in the freezer for up to 6 months. If you want to make these, the recipe is posted below.
GRANOLA BARS RECIPE (PEANUT/ TREE NUT FREE)
INGREDIENTS
Sunflower butter (1 16oz jar)
maple syrup (1 cup)
Avocado oil (or any neutral flavored oil) 1/2 cup
vanilla extract (1/2 tsp)
ground cinnamon (1 tsp, or to taste)
ground nutmeg (1 tsp, or to taste)
salt (1/2 tsp)
butter (I use salted - 2 TBSP)
Rolled oats (purchased from Azure Standard) (6 cups - 1/2 to 1 cup less if you prefer them softer)
Raisins (2 cups, more or less depending on preference) - OR any combination of dried fruit/ mixed nuts, about 2 cups
I only added raisins because that's what I had on hand and of course, I left out the nuts to keep these allergen friendly for my son.
Add sunflower butter, maple syrup, avocado oil, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and butter to a large pot over low/medium heat, stirring until smooth
Add in oats and mix to completely combine
Add in raisins and mix until even distributed
Pour onto a parchment lined baking sheet
Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes, or just until golden brown (mine baked a little longer as I was briefly distracted)
Remove from oven and let cool about 30 minutes
Cut into any size squares you like
Store in snack size/ sandwich bags or parchment paper and keep in a glass jar on counter up to a week
Keep in fridge up to two weeks or the freezer up to 6 months
