Another great Vid, thank you very much. So for me looking at retiring either Chiangmai Mai or Kuching/Sarawak, I have not been to either yet (coming up in October), Kuching is starting to edge in front a little.

Welcome to my hometown, hope you enjoy your stay here in Kuching, Sarawak. Every weekdays we go to this morning till noon market to buy fresh vegetable & fish, it is very cheap & more variety of choices. The noodle that you ate is called "Kolo Mee" (direct translate: dry mix noodle), you must 'mix it all together' before you take a bite, and if its too dry, add-in/sip the soup, a must to eat/try if you are in Sarawak, because that's one of the origin Sarawak's food. There are many kinds/version of kolo mee and the red color kolo mee the taste is sweet & savoury.

Kuching Sarawak enter into maps search and youโ€™ll see it manifest as part of the big island part of Malaysia attached to Indonesia. Qiang seems very happy. How does it compare to Bali in terms of Places to Retire ?

Thanks Qiang and Dan! I've been doing research on the MM2H-S Sarawak retirement visa, but was having trouble finding an honest low-down on Kuching. Kuching seems a lot like Penang 30 years ago (Which could be a good thing). Hope you can share a bit more about livibility and costs, and compare Sarawak to Penang in terms of cost, livability, convenience and boredom.

I missed my hometown Siniawan old town Bau Kuching. The rojak kangkung, kolok Mee( with beef for Muslim), 3 layered tea, Chicken cook in d Bamboo n seafood is cheaper than Peninsular Malaysia..โ˜บ๏ธ

Good video, we had a very hard time finding vegetarian in Japan, Thailand, Philippines and Cambodia this last winter, Bangkok and Chiang Mai were the only places, but we sure did a lot of driving around to get to the vegetarian places, it wasted so much time, Malaysia seems to be way better!!!

Yes thanks Qiang and Dan, I also am curious about Sarawak as I had never even heard of it prior to the new MM2H visa changes. Looks lovely and mellow.

You guys are in Kuching! I was just there for 2 weeks. Came back to KL last Thursday. Interested to see what you do there for a month? It was so humid we spent a lot of time in malls. A few malls were kinda dead. Let's just say the place was very relaxing.๐Ÿ˜ Go see the Orangutans.
