Why should we select English Literature as a subject ?

How important to select English Literature as an A/L subject - Explanation in Sinhala

I had a "F" for my literature paper in 2018 A/L. My life fell apart... I'm still recovering from the failure. But reading waiting for godot is one of the best things that happened in my life. I have the strength of mind to cope. Reading made me who I am. Anyone who is interested in choosing lit as a subject must possess the highest level of capacity of the language. Subjectivity is the key here. And it varies a lot.
