Full throttle - lights out - throttle to 20-30% and then just gradually increase it and as soon as you don't feel the wheelspin, apply ERS. Works every time for me, but obviously it's not good enough for esports

I just finsihed a full year in F1 2012 and installed F1 2021 right after. the difference is night and day and putting your foot down on the throttle doesn't work anymore at the start and when coming out of a corner... thank for the tips!

I mostly race in iRacing been doing it for almost 20 years now. I would say for the last 15 years every race I've ever started I've marked in said good luck drive safe have fun and remember you can only win if you go three wide and to turn one on the first lap after the green flag all that BS about getting the checkered Flags means nothing if you don't wreck half of the field before that checkered flag

Personally I like to turn on overtake mode before the start. It's tricky but it pays of if you get it right

My car just stays on gear 1 and starts to spin every start. Too annoying. I am a beginner and i have automatic gears bt they just dont work. Tried few thing none helped.

Setting fuel mix to rich and turning on overtake doesn't hurt either. If you're starting on pole, it gives you a nice buffer into the first corner and can help you get out of 1 second range by the time DRS becomes available
