This device is SO COOL. After seeing it, I think folding laptop screens are gonna be the future of this space. 20”+ laptops can be a thing! Would you want a monster screen like this? Does that crease/ripple bother you?

I can't wait to see where this device goes in the future. I hope Asus sticks with it. I work in the manufacturing and engineering industry, where something like this would be GAME CHANGING in the development and quality rooms.

Asus' engineers are given permission to do the f they want, what a dream job!
While other companies talk about their "cool patented hinges" (yes, Alienware..), these guys actually come up with exotic out of the box high tech stuff.
Nice!

This is the first foldable device I’ve actually been genuinely impressed by. I’m excited to see how this technology evolves.

Finally, a practical use for foldable screens. I find laptop screens to be really small, so having a big screen wherever you go is something I can really appreciate.

Aside from the whole folding display thing making me heavily question the durability of this thing, this is actually a very neat product and i'm glad we're getting some actual innovation for once. This very much feels like a spiritual successor to the thinkpad x220t, which is to this day what i consider far and away the best laptop design.

Asus missed an opportunity for this device to also be a *Portable/mobile monitor* not having DP/HDMI in.

What if you already have a more powerful laptop/desktop? This could be used as a second or third monitor option on the go
What if you want to plug your Nintendo Switch or Valve Steam Deck into a bigger screen? This could have done that as well.

I appreciate Asus for making such bold moves in laptop industry cause from few years we see that only smartphone industry is getting serious innovations....but looks like laptops are catching up too.👍
Btw loving your videos...dude seriously your explanation is beyond amazing ❤️

Such a sweet and fun design! Can't wait for Apple to launch a folding MacBook in 20 years and call it groundbreaking 😅

This looks incredible! I would love to see a month update to see if the folding crease gets bad

Love to see a 27-inch screen on a laptop in the future!! Good for ASUS. ps: Lenovo really did it wrong on its Thinkpad X1 fold. Too small for productive work.

I LOVE that they put the taskbar on the crease when the keyboard is on, maximizes the perfectly flat screen realestate for the important stuff!

This is an amazing design, I’d personally never really buy something like this but if it ever gets small enough it’s definitely something to consider

what you're saying towards the end is what I've always been saying about foldables. the idea is to have a large screen (for those of us who need them) that you can just fold down into something more portable when you're no longer using it, or when you no longer need that large of a screen

Ok this is the first Foldable that is genuinely useful. A portable compact 17 inch screen is a killer app.

I'm actually curious how does this compare to Lenovo's X1 Fold. Can't wait for Asus to release this for benchmark

Asus is absolutely slaying this time with their really bold and unconventional line up! And that too with no compromise on specs!

this is sweet! Hoping they release laptops like this which also have good graphics cards, that would be the dream, being able to use it as a large tablet for sketching, and also as a large screen with the keyboard for adobe work, 3d modelling/rendering, and gaming!

The awesome thing about it is that, if you want to use it in traditional laptop mode, it truly is a no-compromise laptop experience. No wobbly hinge, upper center of gravity, unlappability.

It’s essentially a traditional laptop until you decide you want something more, and then boom, big-ass tablet mode for you.

I’ve always likes Asus, reliable products, always with great design. This time, they hit the ball out of the park. I only hope the hinge really is as durable as claimed, with no premature wear before the 30.000 fold mark.
