Prosecuting attorney completes questioning of Norton Shores woman accused of torturing, killing son

Shanda Vander Ark is facing a first-degree felony charge of murder and child abuse in the first degree for alleged crimes that stem back to July of 2022.

Years back, I read a book titled A Child Called It. One man's own account of the horrific child abuse he suffered by his mother. Many of the punishments she enforced for him "sneaking food" are similar to what the book describes his mother doing. Absolutely disgusting.
