My Mom bought a leash for my niece years ago, (20+)and I was laughing at her... Saying she was crazy. My sister sent two of them because I had my children in the same year. Was traveling in China. Long story short, that leash saved my 2yr old in the airport. It was me and some random lady fighting over my baby... I just kept winding my wrist till I got close enough to snatch up my son. I thank God for my sister sending that to me. And me having the good sense to use it! ❤

I'm an 80's kid who was leashed and I did it to both of my kiddos. I had one person say that it was cruel because you only leash a dog. Yeah, we leash dogs so they don't run off and get hurt or hurt someone else. I love my dogs but I love my kids way more! Keep them babies safe Mom!

I did! Some criticized, some applauded; do what's best for you and your family ❤

I did that 40 years ago. I was asked, “Why are you treating your child like a dog?” I knew any answer I gave would be ridiculed. Just smiled and waved and kept on going. Most Mom’s do the best they can. You got this!

I grew up on a leash in public because I was a runner, I will do the same if my kids need it. Not only was I a runner, I was a streaker too!!! Thank you Mom for keeping me safe ❤

My son was a toddler when he went in between a rack of clothes. My heart about stopped, I was so scared because toddlers may be little, but they can run faster than you think. Just last week a little boy came up to me in the grocery store and asked me if I knew where his mom was and he was scared!! Took him to customer service and he was so happy to see his mom. Go to any law enforcement agency in your city and you can see posters of missing children. I applaud this mother and all who leash their children.

My daughter is 23. She was a very hyper child, diagnosed with ADHD. I had to leash her. Of course, I got backlash from family members and constant stares in public. The leash allowed her to be active yet safe. I don't regret choosing to use the leash. It was a small child's teddy bear shaped backpack with a removable leash. It saved both of us.❤😊

My husband was born in 1953. His sister came along 15 months later. Both were strong willed and quick. My mother in law put harnesses and leashes on both through the mid 50’s. She was given some grief about it back then too, but she was able to give them a little independence and still keep them safe. She was also able to keep her sanity! Ignore those trying to rain on your parade. You understand what your kids need better than anyone! ❤❤❤

Top thing is keeping your kids safe in a store no matter what! Been there done that 45 years ago, I didn't care what people were saying. Mine was hidden in between a rack of clothes and I didn't know where he was 😢. My heart was beating 💓 like crazy. Finally found him. Better safe than sorry. He wore that leash too every time I went shopping. I know he was safe now. Today, Especially with this world we live in now. Your doing the right thing girl. ❤

Your kids, your call. Might prevent some kids being snatched up by pedos.

You go mom. Sometimes just the wrong people are out there when we go out, however there are still good people out there. Guides are needed with all small children or leashes what ever you call them. Sorry you fell and had no help. Truly feel you hurt, been there.❤❤

Woman, your narration was everything. I thought the worst part was going to be that you were yelling across the department store. I was wrong, the part when you fell took me out!😭😂😭😂 OMG, that fall is/was actually a blessing and a "turning point" as now you have created a solution that mothers, fathers, aunts, and uncles, etc. can benefit from!!! Many Blessings!💞🙏💐🦋

Thank you so much for taking the initiative to create a solution to the problem. So many children go missing from public places.

It's also good to teach them at an early age to listen and follow directions. Good job mom...👏
