I always considered a destination wedding as my friend’s way of telling me “it’s ok you don’t have to come”

An hour and a half by car sounds like the perfect boundary

Larry has perfected the art of saying “NO”. He’s the antidote to people pleasing.

I would just ask them to stream it and I’ll watch it on line

American icon. His writing on Seinfeld and writing and acting on Curb Your Enthusiasm were superb!

If only half the population was this honest and straightforward…

Love it, and totally agree!! Destination weddings are thoughtless of guests’ circumstances. Never understood who first thought this was a good idea!

The older I get the more I relate to Larry David.

I think Larry should start an advice column. "Ask Larry...."

Listening to this made me realize that I’ve been identifying incorrectly my entire life. Apparently my true self is a 76 year old Jewish writer from New York.

One of the reasons Curb your Enthusiasm was such a great show, was that Larry truly portrayed himself as himself.

My entire family lives in the Midwest US and my niece wanted to have her wedding in Hawaii. The 2 oldest members of the family were healthy, but could never make such a long flight. We convinced her it was selfish of her and that the "destination" should be for their honeymoon. She relented, and the seniors got to attend the wedding.

It’s actually beyond obnoxious to have a “destination” wedding and expect guests to show up hundreds of miles away.

the older you get, the easier it is to say no. it's a learned ability. you say yes to everything when you are younger, even if you don't really want to go.
