Improve Your Mixes With Dynamic EQ In Ableton Live

In this Ableton Live tip, we are going to be using the envelope follower and eq 8 to create a dynamic EQ. This is a simple and subtle way to get a little more room in your mixes and make sure that you can hear all the elements of your track clearly.

If you don’t have envelope follower, another thing you can do is automate the gain on the eq bands by drawing them in manually. Then Insert it into a return track for parallel dynamic eq’ing. It’s a bit more labor but it works.

Deginately trying this on the song were doing right now. Im still in the sound design phase for thr verses but the Vhoruses are laid out but im still shaping a call and response vocal. So ive been using RTAS 6 on the deeper vocal travk and thatll be great for sound design of the individual travk but i thibk once i am trying to mix and gel things THIS method will work best for for regined ducking in ovetall mix perspective.
