How to Install a Wall Anchor (If NO Drill Bit)

How to install a wall anchor with no drill bit. Hope this helps if your in a pinch. I like to get a starter point by giving the screwdriver a little smack into the Sheetrock.

You don’t need to use the screw either . A #3 Phillips screwdriver will poke right through the drywall. The hole it leaves is usually the perfect size for the bigger anchors.

Great tip! You can also use a #2 Philips screwdriver as well. For example, when using the conical yellow anchors from Klein, I’ve found that a standard #2 Philips screwdriver is the perfect diameter to hit through the drywall, and then once removed, you can install the anchor. It fits nice and snug. 👍🏼

Wrong way!! You dont wiggle the screw as you will cause damage to the surrounding areas next to the hole
Microtears etc etc!! You put the drill in the hole again and make it smooth!

When you drill the screw in but now it’s stripped and can’t get it out 🤦🏾‍♀️ thx anyway lol
