Ambulance stations close daily due to EMT shortage

Emergency Medical Services had to close half a dozen ambulance stations on Oahu Sunday, in addition to a number of other closures earlier that weekend. According to EMS, it's all due to ongoing staffing issues.

Start paying an EMT a living wage! It is sickening when they are putting themselves in harm’s way and dealing with life and death situations.

I’ve been EMT for years it’s a very dangerous job and very low paying. I’m surprised I stayed in the field as long as I did maybe I was just desperate. Leaving EMS and going back to college was the best decision Ive made

Better make sure u got a good vehicle because the only help is hfd and that'll wear on priority, longer waites until their wore out as well wit 24 shifts ..
