Thank you for explaining load and revs. I'd like to say that videos like these, that explain different concepts or the sciences of a car, are the one's that assist in understanding cars better thankfully.

I would do this but I have to pull out onto a 60 mph road from my drive way so it isn’t an option 😅(also you can’t see shit when u pull out so it is very necessary to go fast)

Sir, what do I do when the blue light is still on after driving for many minutes

I know the ND MX-5 has a blue icon that disappears when the coolant is up to temp, and that the engine revs a little higher the first few seconds after it starts. Once those two things are done, is the engine then past its cold state? I ask because in the summer, I don't see that blue icon at all.

How do I know when the cold start phase is over?

Is waiting a minute on cold start before you start moving and driving the car a good idea or unnecessary?

So I got a Diesel very recently and definitely noticed the engine warming up slower than in my previous petrol car. Should i wait more than a mile before putting a little more load onto the engine or is the difference neglectable? For now i try to shift at about 2.000 revs. Shifting before that is barely possible because of the gear ratios (5 speed manual 1.6 tdi).
