ME489 Introduction to FE Lecture 16: Finite element solution in 2D

We finally put everything together. We have covered the weak form of the heat transfer problem in previous lectures, and then we also talked extensively about the finite element discretization in 2D using either triangular or quadrilateral elements. Now, putting together the finite element interpolation and the weak form we finally get the system of equations KT=F!
