The Search for Life on Mars With Systems Engineer Elio Morillo

“NASA STEM Stars en Español” es una serie de entrevistas en línea que proporciona a los estudiantes mayores de 13 años la oportunidad de conectarse con expertos de la NASA y conversar de diversos temas relacionados con ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas (STEM) y de algunas misiones sobresalientes de la NASA.

“NASA STEM Stars” en Español is part of a webchat series that connects students with subject matter experts to learn about STEM careers and ask questions about STEM topics.

In this episode, we examine how NASA’s next robotic explorer, Perseverance, will work to discover signs of ancient microbial life on Mars. Systems Engineer Elio Morillo from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, will discuss the Mars 2020 mission and share what inspired him to pursue a career at NASA.

Watch the live event presented in Spanish, and ask your questions about pursuing careers in STEM.

We’re launching STEM Engagement to new heights with learning resources that connect teachers, students, parents, and caregivers to the inspiring work NASA is doing. Join us as we apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to explore space, improve aeronautics, examine Earth, and strive to land the first woman and first person of color on the Moon with the Artemis program.
