Seriously, the last tip transformed my game. I have been so focused on the lower body in the downswing, that I forgot about my shoulders completely. I just hit a ton of shots on the button just getting the shoulders to turn completely around my spine. It felt like magic. Thank you so much!

Great tips. Shoulder/torso/hip turn is what I focus on to try and fix a sway/reverse pivot. Sometimes I get hung up in the backswing on turning my left (lead) shoulder under, which can feel like a big turn, but often don’t turn the rest enough, including right shoulder, causing fat, casting, over the top, early extension etc. So, I’m trying to focus more on turning my right trail shoulder back and around. So far seems to work, even for chips and putting. Any dangers with this swing thought?

Hi Matt, Thing I'm not doing well is my follow through as you address in the video. I'm conscious of this and I am addressing the flaw. I also notice that when I do follow through my chest is parallel. Thanks again for the content. Stay well

Great tips about the shoulders. In the last segment, 'Tip # 5, Rotate Through the Shot', the rate of turn in your right shoulder is not constant. In the slo-mo your right shoulder briefly slows down prior to impact which slings the arms through the ball (generates power). After that you continue your rotation completely through the shot as you describe. So there is more to it. Regardless, Tip # 5 works pretty good for me. I need to eliminate the left side of the golf course or I will run out of balls.

Thank you for these tips. i am probably the one that bumps my left shoulder into my head allot of times. I hit the Driver straight, but feel I could get more distance from my shots. take care.

Great video..im sure ive got 1 or more of those. I never thought about OVER rotating my shoulders. ill have to remember to try that next time. Maybe you can do a video (unless you have already) of a proper distance from the ball with woods and irons at the tee and fairway.

tensing up is one of my issues - trying too hard. how do you combine breathing with the swing? to you exhale as you swing, like in tennis?

The lead arm higher then the trail arm…Ben Hogan talks about this in his book, “Ben Hogan’s Power Golf”. In Chapter 3, Stance Gives You Balance, “Here is a little trick which will enable you to check if your elbows are in the correct position when you take up your stance at the ball. I have inserted an iron club under the left elbow and over the inside of the right elbow to show that the right arm should be underneath the left.”
