What do you think about the results at end? 😳🤢

Ph and acidity really do not matter. It’s the bacteria and other microbes in untreated water than can be deadly.

Hardness, alkalinity etc. have almost nothing to do with "contamination" but simply reflect minor differences in mineral content depending on source.

"It's too alkaline and too acidic" is a phrase I never tought I would hear.

For a second I genuinely thought you were going to say “So today.. I’m going to pollute it”

Remember if you’re ever drowning in Lake Tahoe just drink the water.

I don't think you understand what alkalinity, hardness, or pH are

Bro really used an acidity test to see if there were contaminants 💀

Would be interesting to compare the microorganisms present in them since that is the major concern

fun fact! the bottom of lake Tahoe is two degrees warmer than the temperature needed to preserve bodies in water, meaning most bodies could be mostly preserved.

You should learn more about disinfection and bacteria, as ecoli is whats measured in water to ensure it's safe. You want a chlorine residual of at least 0.2mg/L. Drinking water pH is usually around 7.5. Alkalinity refers to the waters ability to resist pH changes, so you want higher levels of that. Hardness can be a slight concern for showers and piping, but it isn't a huge factor. Source: Hydrologist with 8 years experience in water/wastewater treatment (A level operator).
