Indicator/Distal: Lateral midline of the 5th metatarsal
Zero/Starting Position: Midline of 5th metatarsal is perpendicular to midline of leg

Normative Value: 0-30 degrees
Foundational Concept: Knee MUST be flexed when measuring ankle dorsiflexion ROM to shorten the gastrocnemius and avoid the potential of decreased muscle extensibility limiting ankle mobility.
