The UK's Tallest Fire Ladder (Funded by Freemasons)

London's Freemasons have funded two 64-metre turntable ladders for the London Fire Brigade, they are the UK's tallest fire appliances and reach up to 23 floors in height. Firefighter Andy Wilson tests out one of these ladders at Dagenham Fire Station taking it up to it's full working height of 64 metres.

A lovely day, and still quite close to maximum working wind speeds… must be almost impossible to use at maximum height in anything but perfect conditions especially with wind sheer around flats etc… need some nerve to go up that… brave men.
