Program a 2016 Dodge Ram Key

A quick walk through how to program a new key for a 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 when you need to replace a lost key. I use the Maxisys 508, a great code scanner by Autel, for this and it makes life so much simpler. You'll also need a blank Dodge key.

It would be very helpful if you gave an actual tutorial instead of a video of you programming the key. What program are you using? Where do you get it? You know... little things like that would be kind of important.

Will this do 2018 ram key I’m thinking of buying one ? I need a good scan tool anyway might as well buy one that does keys might be able to get some money bk for tool if anyone needs a key 😂 didn’t see you hook up your tool to truck be helpful to see that … thanks .. you made it look easy for sure .. I was thinking I would need the autel 608 much more expensive… not enough info on scan tools .. for some one with basic skills anyway.. I’m not too technical minded.. so would prefer easy tool to use for scanning trouble codes and to program a key on my truck 👍

With that tool do you need to purchase a subscription from the manufacture to program keys?

If your autel required any special cabling you did not show that. I was under the impression an extra cable connected to programmer and green connector bank was needed for the proximity dodges

Yea so easy. With a $2000 programmer tool.
