I’m super glad that more 360hz monitors are coming out because they will make all the 240hz monitors cheaper which is fantastic.

I just can't have blur. Even in games like Tomb Raider and Fallen Order, I cannot abide when I pan across the horizon and the scenery turns into a big blur because of slow panels. I think one or two more generations and IPS will make TN obsolete though.

I love that your actually good at the games you test on the esports side. Seeing a lot of other tests don't give me confidence in their experience or even if it makes a difference to them like the linus staff. But your actually good at Tracer amazing

I recently returned my Alienware AW2518HF 240Hz and ordered an ASUS VG249Q 144Hz IPS. As someone who only plays first-person shooters, I never thought that the difference from 144Hz to 240Hz could be this minor. I can now confidently say that a 240Hz TN monitor like the XL2546 is no way near worth $500. My next move is trying out a 1440p 144Hz IPS. If the size (27'') happens to be a problem, I'll replace it with the MSI MAG251RX 240Hz IPS.

240Hz feels exactly like how I imagined the jump from 144Hz to 180Hz would feel like. Slightly smoother, but nothing groundbreaking.

I bought the MAG251RX off Amazon over a month ago.


I returned it in less then a week, kept my TN 240Hz HP Omen. I am a GM ranked OW player. The MSI is nice, but still marginally slower. I couldn't accept that. TN is still superior, if your top priority is speed. As a top competitive gamer, it bothered me knowing my TN monitor was slightly smoother while I was using the MAG251RX. It was distracting just knowing that while playing. Its hard to explain, but think of it like Obsessive Compulsive disorder. It kept bothering me, and it affected my performance in real time. It unstresses me knowing I literally have the fastest monitor out there. Even if it was only by .0001%. I still want that .0001% extra speed. Hope that makes sense.

I have a friend that's red-green colourblind and he says that some UI in games are super confusing, but he still kicks ass. So colour accuracy in games doesn't make you any better.

I upgraded from a 60hz to a 144hz and my gaming instantly changed. I moved a mouse on a 240hz at Best Buy once and I can never go back. I want a 240hz now 😪😩
