GoPro HERO7 Black Looping Not Working

Just upgraded to the new GoPro Hero 7 black and for some reason the looping mode doesn't work. I didn't have any issues with my old GoPro hero 3+ the looping was working perfectly fine.
Don't know why in the new GoPro 7 it's just saving the fist 1 min in looping mode and doesn't record the rest. I have tried couple of times and same thing is happening. I don't know if there's any other setting for looping ..
If anyone knows why it does that please let me know.

I know people love Gopro cameras but the loop recording on the Gopro 7 black is crap. I have to keep deleting old footage on the SD can to continue to loop record otherwise I get "not enough SD card space" so what's the point in having loop recording if you have to manually delete files? It doesn't happen on the drift cameras. It just keeps on recording over the old files when the sd card is full. Gopro 7 black is the first and last gopro camera I will be buying. I will buy an osmo or the insta 360 instead.

Pro tune disables looping. What about the resolution. I know it doesn’t work with certain resolutions

For me, in the gopro it appear the same as you (only 1 vid of 1 minute random). But when I use the gopro app, I have 5 videos of the last 5 minutes of the recording (in the case of 5 minutes looping) and 1 of the extra seconds when i stop the recording.

The GoPro definition of looping is different than everyone else. GoPro's is just segmenting videos into 5min, 20 min.. files. The customer expectation is that is records over the oldest files, but GoPro doesn't have that option. Any $100 camera can loop.

I have the same problem mate. No one can help. I dont use the gopro app . Its crap. Yep u only get the 1st minute. I put my sd card into my surface pro and u only have 1 minute of recording in the file. And its the 1st minute not last minute where the action happend

All 5 minutes is there. It only shows 1, one minute clip but if you watch the whole video on the gopro its all there. You don't get 5 one minute clips
