How to tie a heel lock (Racer's Loop) for a running shoe

This is designed to lock in your heel much tighter. Using the rarely used rear-top eyelet, we create loops then pass down the laces through these loops.

This allows you to get a really tight lock on around the top of the foot.

It helps to lock down the heel to some extent but not by that much—and it puts a lot of pressure on the top of the foot.

I was disappointed my shoes don't seem to have these .. I'm fed up of them untying as I run and was looking for solutions.
Then I realised I think maybe the shoes could just be redone (in fact any shoes) by just making the top hole the "special" hole?
