there was a tweet i remember about how horrifying sonic must be to his opponents, and this scene was the highlight.
imagine your express purpose, being built to be the ultimate lifeform. and this guy just shows up and beats you at your own game.
he showed sonic chaos control, only for sonic to figure it out on an wish, com knock off.
and when asked "what the hell ARE you?" and he has the audacity to say "just a guy!"

Feels strange to hear sonic not cut out part of shadow’s dialogue in the beginning. I know it was just a result of the conflicting flow between translations but sonic would be the exact kind of person impatient enough to do something like that in exchange with enemies.

After doing this on both sides I always preferred the hero side. Shadow going “before this is over… I’ll show you the true power of chaos control!” Sounded way cooler than Sonic saying “alright shadow, time for me to end this.”
