Apple Glasses have been rumored to be in the works for years now, ever since Google was working on Google Glass, but eventually dropped the project.

I take a look at a bunch of leaks and rumors surrounding the Apple Glasses, including all of the features we should expect, and when they'll get released.

I also give my own point of view and opinion on some of these leaks, since I've worn glasses my whole life and find Apple Glasses very interesting.

This tech, if done right, has the potential to be more transformative in the long run than anything Apple has ever done. Information about your environment in your field of vision at all times will change how we interact with the world.

Great job Angelica. 3 Presenters = 3 x the content! I think Max and Vadim have shown different enough focus in 2020 to make me expect Angelica will find her niche too! 2021 is shaping up to be awesome for tech media. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Apple Glasses are cool and everything but this time I’m hitting like just for the host 😁

Adding a camera to the glasses could also be used for features like zooming in and enhancing your view. This would be amazing.

Greetings Angelika! Prescription glasses wearer here as well. My (primary) thought is, as much as Apple glasses are nice, it needs to be "glasses" first, 'Apple glass' second (at least imo). Reasoning behind it is, it needs to be practical enough for people who wear prescription lenses that the "prescription" aspect/part of these Apple glasses is still there when the battery runs out. Understandibly we're still a LOOONNGG way from these becoming a real thing (theres prolly A LOT of other major and minor important things that ned to be sorted out) and Apple glasses shouldnt necessarily be a replacement fot he actual prescription lenses, but I guess the short term solution to something like that would be carrying both sets of lenses.
Also, I wonder how charging it will work? (Willing to confidently guess its going to be similar to the airpods charging/carrying case; has a usb-c port and wireless charging)

Hi Max, I think my MBP works much hotter when connected to a 90W power source, is it possible to investigate with your MACs?

A long, long time ago I was standing in line and right in front of me there was this crazy guy having an agitated conversation with an invisible person. This isn't unusual for L.A. but it was still uncomfortable until I realized he was a businessman using this new thing called a wireless headset. We get used to "weird" stuff real fast, and once a new tech catches on we won't think twice about folks walking down the street making gestures in the air. Yeah, the first people who do that will be mocked and called "glassholes" but that's nothing compared to the hatred people had for "rich showoffs" who drove/walked around flaunting their car phones/cell phones in the 80s and early 90s.

The engineering going into this Apple Glass will be immense. Batteries alone is a challenge, coiling up the cells along the long handles, then you have to power the OLED screen top down. Fit a bluetooth antenna along the front frame with a U1 chip and Lidar scanner in the centre. Prescription glasses add more complexity to assembly, magnets can help each custom lens to snap on like Airpods Max. Only respite is that they can use plastic for the frames to keep it light, mould it like regular Airpods. I hope they succeed and bring it to market.

Besides voice dictation, the best tech for scrolling and typing would be a wearable glove keyboard like TAP on one hand

Auto adjust for prescription would be awesome. Camera is essential .

I don't care about the video capabilities in glasses like that, but the main feature I would really like to have is to be able to use them as an external display (or multiple displays) for a mac/iphone/ipad etc. This could be huge for productivity, as with modern AR it is possible to “attach” a virtual display to a certain position in the room, so you could have a virtual table with multiple displays. Imagine if you could use it with a Mac Mini, going completely displayless?
