People WARNED us NOT to visit CHINA again... (FIRST TIME IN CHENGDU) 🇨🇳

We were warned by people after returning back the first two times to never visit China again. We are back for the third time and we can not wait to explore the beautiful city of Chengdu, China.

Chengdu is one of the biggest cities in China. We were shocked to see just how massive this city is. Despite the warnings, we found the people of Chengdu to be warm and welcoming. They were eager to share their culture and traditions with us, and we were grateful for the opportunity to learn from them. Chengdu, China really surprised us.

So, to those who warned us not to visit China again, we have just one thing to say - we can't wait to explore more.

Anyone from outside China once they have been to China they're sure wanted to visit again. Unless those who have committed crimes and got deported by the authority.

How crazy that you are still warned not to visit China even tho you have proved by your 2 earlier visits that China is safe, friendly and great place to visit.

Since you've got a proper visa, I suggest you go somewhere rural for the natural beauty of China this time in addition to all the modern cities. Sichuan province itself has some nice places like Jiuzhaigou (九寨沟). Then Yunnan province has lots to offer like Lijiang (丽江) and Dali (大理). Zhangjiajie (张家界) in Hunan province is the place where the movie Avatar got its inspirations and definitely worth the visit. If you are into hiking and adventures, China has some of the most gorgeous mountains in the world such as Huangshan (黄山) in Anhui province, Huashan (华山) in Shaanxi province, and Taishan (泰山) in Shandong province. Last but not least, Tibet, of course, is the nearest place to heaven. You will have a chance to reach halfway through the Mount Everest safely these days guided by local tour groups

I think it's important to offer some advice: The essence of Chinese cuisine isn't found in street food. Chinese cuisine boasts a vast and intricate system, with each region having its own distinct features. Street food are merely a selection made for the convenience of tourists, and you'll find that these snacks are uniform throughout China. In fact, what you eat might not even Chinese food. If you want to experience genuine Chinese food as much as possible during your limited travel time, try to dine in restaurants as much as possible. While this won't guarantee it aligns perfectly with your taste buds—after all, tastes vary—it does present a great opportunity to explore local flavors and specialties.😃

Chengdu: Panda sanctuary, Hot Pot, Tea House. Xian- see Terracotta soldiers. Hainan- Chinas version of Hawaii. Xinjiang- was controversial but a cool mix of Muslim and Chinese cultures. Tibet- monasteries. Chongqing- just a cool city. and Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (inspired Avatar movie)

first city in china you visited that I haven't been to and is high priority on my next trip 😉
chagee gets mixed reviews, some love it, others say it's overrated and over priced. if you see a yogurt cow, give it a try. a lot of western tourists seem to love it. also helps calm the stomach after a spicy meal so do be careful and not be too brave on spice level in chengdu lol. a chendu specialty is dandan noodles which is usually with minced pork but look for plain or vegetarian(tofu) versions. also a must visit place is the jiuyan bridge especially at night because the waterside strip next to the bridge has cool nightlife with bars, live music, and clubs.

tip on ordering, if you can for the menu, there is a translate option so you can get an idea of what it is. ordering through the payment app saves time also. maybe save this on your phone to make sure you don't eat pork 我不吃猪肉 🙂
