Corrections:
In the updated version of the rules, when the working class uses Education, they can upgrade skilled workers that are in a company, they just can't be on a skilled worker space. Middle class skilled workers can still only be upgraded if they're unemployed. (I'm sure it's more balanced this way, but man it's annoying that these rules are so slightly different)

In the video I show the Capitalists spending $30 from revenue to pay for Lobbying, but this should come from their capital instead.

During their Prep Phase, the Capitalists can choose which companies to discard, then draw new ones until they have four. You don't have to discard all companies.

When the Middle class sells to the Foreign Market, unlike the Capitalists, they gain a point for each transaction they make.

The State only gains a point from people buying services from them if the relevant policy is at B (costing $5)

During the State's scoring phase, after earning points, you reduce the legitimacy tracks TO half (rounded up), not BY half (rounded up), so the example is a little bit off.

My favorite game of all time. This one didn't leave my table for 3 months when it first arrived. We just kept playing it over and over and over again.

Thank you for making this video! I've been searching for a high quality, clear, and succinct how to play video for Hegemony, and have come up empty handed--until now. Your videos are always stellar with an unobtrusive sense of humor, so I am so excited to see you covered Hegemony.

Hello, Shea! Greetings from Brazil!
At 38:10 after the state scoring, I understand that since the rule states "Then, lower all 3 scores TO their half (rounded up)" and not "lower the scores BY their half", you round up the leftover scores, not the discounted values. In your example, the red score should go from 7 to 4 (not 3) and the blue score from 5 to 3 (not 2).

The one change to the base rules that I would make would be to place the revealed Immigration cards aside (or face up under the deck instead of face down) and once the deck was exhausted you shuffle them to form a new deck, leaving out any cards draw already if more need to be drawn.
Unless a deck is really large I don't like the "place on the bottom" because after one cycle players with good memories would know what's coming and play accordingly. That might be alright in some cases but I get the feeling that in this case it's supposed to always be random.

Thanks for the video.

Great video, Shea! I did have one question; at 34:33 (and again at 41:40), you mention that the State player earns a VP for making a sale of Health/Education if the corresponding policies are in 'either section A or B'. However, as best as I can determine, it seems like the VP bonus is only applied while the relevant policy is in section 'B', and if a policy changes to section 'A', the reward of legitimacy per every 3 sold is in lieu of the VP reward. Am I missing something? I really did try to dig through these comments and BGG before posting, you do such a thorough job on this stuff. Thanks!

Rule correction:
22:41 Lobbying - Spend 30V from the *capital*, not from the revenue.

RULES ERRORS

19:44 you actually discard as many companies as you want to, then draw until you have 4. You don’t have to discard them all

29:03 when the middle class sells to the foreign market it is NOT just like how the capitalists do it. The middle class gets 1 point for every sale they make, but the capitalists do not.

46:58 you said the state reduces its legitimacy markers to half their value rounded up but you moved the capitalist marker to half its value rounded down

Thanks, great content! No one, including the makers of the game, has produced clean and clear content for Hegemony's Crisis & Control expansion. Will there be a video for the game expansions soon? 😊

I just need to know what kind of gaming table you have. I love the depth of the inlay, it's not too deep like most tables make it. And it has cup holders.

Thank you so much for this awesome Video! One question: At 15:36 you say that if you Change a skilled worker to a different industry, the skilled worker has to be unemployed, but the rulebook says: "...you may upgrade a
skilled Worker to another industry, as long as it’s not on a skilled Worker slot.". So could i upgarde a skilled worker, which is currently employed in a company on an unskilled worker slot?
