Brian & Darren talk about the benefits of turnips as a cover crop.

We're following with wheat, but corn should work fine too. We feel the benefit will be largest when seeding a fall crop like winter wheat. The idea, though, is simply to keep something growing at all times in the field which applies prior to any crop rotation. Thanks for watching Ag PhD. Darren

I love them raw eat like an apple with a sprinkle of salt. Cooked...not so much. Fed them to cows in dust bowl according to my grandpa, quartered them.
