At first, I wasn't sure how I felt about the shawl, but as you were talking about the various sections, and started handling it and moving it around, it started changing for me. When it was stretched out all I saw were various shaped sections, but when you wrapped it around your shoulders, that's when the magic happened and the beauty of your shawl really popped. The various stitch patterns, textures, and colors worked perfectly together, and I think the high contrast between the two greens on the border is striking. You've got a winner there.

Thanks for the lovely video - it was a pleasure to watch, as always!
I couldn't agree more on your thoughts about shawlography! You know, I'm also very happy with my FO except for the border. I wish he had 2 options, I would have gone for something like chevron, that I've seen some people did - it looks so much better! But I do love your colours and I think they look wonderful on you!
I also think that you should keep the Bear hat :) You might need it some day in the future. I knitted some baby blankets way before I got married and treasured them until the day came and they got used by my kids. If you really like that hat, just keep it ;)
I'm also going to enter my socks for the KAL cause I did free my needles :)

Loved your Podcast and to See your wips. I am not a huge fan of the Stephen West shawls, they are a bit much for me. But I love how yours turned out. I actually really like the border!

I just think your shawlography shawl is beautiful! I see what you mean about the stripy border, but if you look at it in the wider context of the whole shawl it is just perfect and once wrapped around yourself it is stunning. I just finished a bunch of WIPs so I have nothing for this KAL. I just cast on for a new jumper though. My mum was always a project knitter who bought yarn for a specific pattern, so I think I learnt good habits from her. But I do find it handy to have a hat or sock or something for in between the big projects as that process of actually casting on can take a while I find.
