Thanks for sharing this first podcast episode, it was insightful and thought-provoking. I appreciate how you repeat things a few times so that I can really take them in--you somehow know just how to pace things to help me consider each point for a moment before moving onto the next thought. Looking forward to more!

Ashani, I'm going through your past and you're obviously present posts. I finally signed up for the 5 Day challenge and Patreon! I am sure you're gonna regret me Having access to asking you questions exclamatioremark because there is nothing I like more than researching and finding things out. Arcane, inane, Bizarre and potentially useless ( Until somebody needs to know what the Plastic/wax tip of a shoelace Is called on bar Trivia night- It's an aglet, In the word is Latin And not only used for tennis shoes but for ribbons And decorations on military uniforms For centuries). But I love researching And learning all kinds of new things all the time. Because It's easy to learn one new thing A-day, Depending on age and Free time. Anyway, I appreciate all of your time and the classes that you Have given, But honestly I was aware of all of this Already in daily lif everyone. But I am a Big dork who Loves reading and read War and Peace when I was 12 And had regular adult conversations with my parents and adult family members covering Issues of racism and prejudice since I can remember. Don't let this statement make you think that I have a family that is free of Ignorant, closed minded Jackasses. But over 30 years of knowing them as adults and discussing things Related to race especially in the early nineties with Rodney King And the LA riots in 92? I have spoken And debated and made my stance Very known and Do not continue to attempt to engage My close minded Definitely racist and prejudiced and hypocritical family members. Me and my immediate family Are fine with them not being active in our lives. Fool me once and all of that It's your fault and fool me twice it's my fault and we're not going to pandor to a bunch of close minded idiots who have resources available to them but they choose to ignore them. So, inconclusion ( I think, and you probably hope) I just wanted to say that there are points in a person's life that it is OK to cut somebody out and off. If you approach the conversation and the person with an open mind and kind intentions and do the several times but they are still a freaking brick wall... You stop inviting your cousin from Texas to dinner in Detroit because they say " Why are there so many many N. Here? This is so strange." And you calmly explain that that is unacceptable and you do not have the right to behave In that way with me or Anyone. Then come up because they're friendly and they have 2 little cousins for my child to play with, you go out again and You are shown that your cousin is Incapable Of understanding your words, And they do it again and you don't even open their Christmas card. BTW this Part of the family is Definitely full of holier than Thou Mormon hypocrites, mormons are definitely the most racist religious group on the face of the Earth. I've had 42 years of 1st hand knowledge of this, My immediate family/parents take no part in that Clown show... And I know there are many white families in the country that are saddled with their racist Contingents. What is your opinion about letting them go, Because me and my immediate family have and we are not going back And it is 100% morally and ethically OK with me. I don't want to drag you're Abusers around with me and pretend I give 2 s**** if they want an appetizer At Outback Steakhouse! To give them the feeling their behavior is accepted and they can hide behind me and the people I love. Uh uh, nope!
