SetUp YI IoT Camera (Ultimate Guide)

Ok, so I brought one (the screw in like a light bulb model) & after 2 days trying to figure the set up, connecting & ect., I finally got it working., but it won’t stay connected when my device/phone is far from it. It’s like it’s connected to my phone instead of feeding the WiFi off my modem & I don’t understand that. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Where is the part that discusses how and why the App needs my email address, phone password, and and access to my email address during setup? This is unnecessary information for a video camera. Explain why all of that is needed if the video is recorded on a removable memory card. Notifications can be sent to my text feed, so I see no need for access to my email or my passwords. I'm going to eat $105 for my 3 cameras before I give up that kind of personal information. With the information this program asks for, they can hack my phone.

I'm having issues and am not sure if I'm the only one ya'll :(. I've only used an SD card and am trying to see the recordings from today, unfortunately, I just can't see anything because it always takes me back to the beginning of the day and I really need to see the recordings from a certain hour :(.

Why haven't you guys made a video explaining that yi home and yi iot are not compatible or interchangeable. Can't by yi iot camera to work on yi home.

I don't prefer cameras with the yiiot app. And I wouldn't advise anyone. Because the application pays for cloud storage and makes the devices of those who do not subscribe unusable.

I definitely don't recommend anyone to buy devices that work with the app.

Hmm mine won't get to the WiFi connected stage. It scans says wait 2 mins end that's it

My smart detection function is grey out, cannot access it. How to turn the smart detection on?

How can I turn off night vision on YI IOT app ? I use my cam in a front of a window and the glass reflects IR light and I can't see anything.
The camera manual shows "Light mode settings" where u can turn off Infra-Red but I don't have this setting in the app.
Please help.

How many days recording the 32gbs in cctv? Then the memory card is full. Automatic delete the recording and back to zero again??

Doesn't work your app is trash, I use to be connected all the time to our babies camera and all of a sudden it went offline. Tried everything even resetting it, and it tells me wrong wifi password which is bs because everything in the house is connected to it.

Ours won't pair. Connects to WiFi and scans the qr but won't pair

The camera would be great, but wading through constant prompts to subscribe to cloud is ridiculous

Pc app completely unusable. It can be installed but you can not log in and use it. Android works. Anyways it's not worth bothering with this. Highly reccomend to evade these types of cameras
