6 signs of good self esteem
1) Are working on accepting yourself for whom you are now. Because you want to feel better and have a better human experience. Looking at thoughts that are blocking self-acceptance.
2) Living in integrity; integration with in and out selves. Not trying to get validation. The real you.
3) You don't worry excessively about what others think of you. Not stressing and obsessing.
4) What you think about you is more important than what others think about you.
5) Healthy boundaries within yourself. Limits on certain things and space for other things.
6) Allow ourselves to say no when we want to.

It took a few decades of consistent disappointments in others who DID NOT walk their talk, alongside my ingenuity to figure out a path forward in spite of their deliberate(it appeared) attempts to drag me(unwillingly) off my track, for me to finally see my real worth through my own eyes. It was earth-shattering to me then, but it not only diminished the value of past altercations, it RESET MY FOCUS: If I could become a chemist working on NASA flight projects, why did any of "their hissyfits" hold even the warrant of a critical examination???... especially when I'd already left them behind!!! I had achieved a major accomplishment ALONE... my way, through my grit. And THAT turned my entire mental frame 360° in the opposite direction, AWAY from all the nay-sayers, "family" included.

And that "alone" frame proved to be as pivotal because I've stayed that way... Later at a research lab synthesizing cancer treatment protocols, I found myself the butt of co-worker ridicule because my work was contamination-free... jealousy with a malicious intent AGAIN!!! I took a few years of it before I decided it just wasn't worth the effort I'd had to put into shutting my mouth & left. Gang tactics!!! Not worth engaging because there won't ever be a positive resolution to the conflict... So I started my own business that is thriving & FINALLY achieved the joyful peace of mind working that I had sought.

Conclusion: ppl are cruel, judgmental, mean, will go out of their way to devalue & discredit anyone they see as a threat to their agenda, and above all, are JEALOUS. Such is the reality when you're an INTJ.... yup. You read that correctly...💜

Relationship to self is often neglected in the endless pursuit of external things. This is important.

"I will trust my deepest inclinations today. Trust your deepest inclinations for they are trustworthy, but you must learn to discern them and distinguish them from the many other desires, compulsions, and wishes that you feel and that affect you. You can only learn this through experience.... Your deepest inclinations always lead you into meaningful relationships and away from isolation or divisive engagements. You must practice this to learn it, but every step you make in this direction will bring you closer to the source of love in your life and will demonstrate to you the Greater Power that abides with you which you must serve and which you must learn to receive." (Steps to Knowledge, Marshall Vian Summers, New Message org)

I recently put limits on my workaholic nature . I learned to say no .... I noticed because of Covid what really matters. Good people, laughter, relaxing and appreciation for family.

I've been working on building my self-esteem for years. DBT helped me and I'm still working through codependent traits to be myself instead of a people-pleaser, though my true self still loves to help others.

Another really good video. I looked at the title and said to myself, " no problem, I have good self esteem". Wrong again. I'm not showing up in your definition of integrity. I definitely try to be what others want. I view things I know are true about myself with the idea of being what others want, not always accepting myself. I'm allitle better at it than I was, but I'm still performing, wanting others to know who I truly am yet at the same time terrified they will figure it out on their own and reject me .

You came across obviously because I am subscribed to a few amazing spiritual teachers since the first time I saw you (a month ago) I couldn't stop, I think I watched maybe 20 videos on the row.

So happy I found you.

You remind me so much of my therapist but different (of course). I can't afford to go see her right now and am still working on self growth. I've been so obsessed with these videos because they keep me accountable and are very educational on how to build these healthy habits. Thank you for making these tips and mini sessions available for those who can't afford to see someone one on one. 🥰🥰

This is as good, if not better than a physical exercise program!! Opening up & rethinking old thought patterns. #2 especially hit me - living in integrity. There was a time, prior to my husbands death, that I practically stood on my head trying to get his children to like me. Buying things, doing things, acting in ways that were *not me*....it is 14 years later & they have been out of my life since his passing and I breathe much easier not having to perform. This list of signs is most helpful...work in progress over here. 👋😊

Hi, Julia K.! I love your #3, not worrying excessively about what others think of you. I used to be a people pleaser in my teens and twenties but now that I'm 58 (and proud of it) I do not believe some of the criticism heaped on me by others, even family and friends. I finally realized that they were, indeed, mostly concerned about themselves and didn't spend hardly any time thinking about me...especially not OBJECTIVELY. They have their own agendas. Thanks so much for your insight, you're amazing.
