Of course we all feel compassion for people that feel the need to flee their country in search of a better life. Unfortunately, the United States immigration system is broken by design and actually encourages non-compassion as long as the immigrants get there. Politicians are supporting these policies because it benefits them, not the people.

This is true we want to take care of each other but without the grace of God who blessed this county now thanks to those who helped remove prayer and the pledge of allegiance out of school look what is happening kids killing kids some of those coming here some will work hard doing things that our own people won't but some come here and want us to change things to there liking i say if you don't like the way we live go back from where you came from And grip and see what happens we need to put God first and maybe he will bless us again

Yeah buddy, not feelin this one. I am a compassionate Man, but if "taking care of people" means allowing more people in, legal or otherwise, who really have no intention of adopting our way of life and just want the free handouts at our expense....i'll have to pass. We are not the world's welfare office. On this i feel conservative politicians and commentators are way outta touch. Most of us want immigration completely stopped. Slowing it down does us no good. We need to close the damn doors.
