I am nativ German. This is 100% not beginner German. It's passive, Polite sentence structure, different tenses. - if you understand that, you don't have to use the listening course. :D Sometimes the used words are very unusual words or grammar most German speakers won't use anyways. 'jenes, welches ich laß.' it's more a German you would read in poems. Don't feel bad for not understanding it. Though it's very precisely pronounciated.

I have been self learning german for the past 5 days and I'm very glad that was able to answer 50% of the questions right by picking up the ques here and there. German language is def fun to learn and it's quite close to English!

Every time I look in the comments of these absolute beginner listening videos, everyone is saying its "not absolute beginner". If you want "absolute beginner" listening practice, all you'll be getting is "this is a man" and "where is the cat?" What these videos do is give you a base. You may not understand it now, but it will encourage you to *want* to understand it, and someday you will if you keep working hard. If you just started learning german recently, don't say this is too hard because of course it is. Just keep studying and growing and someday you will understand it! :)

I took four years of German in high school but went 5 years of university without using it (much). I'm relieved to have found these exercises because I'm trying to become fluent enough to work in Germany as an engineer. I wish my teacher in high school had recommended videos like this, I believe they would've helped tremendously.

I only practiced written German before (no listening skills whatsoever), and it was years ago. I got everything right except 1 situation, it's really motivating and gives confidence, although I often had to rewind several times and concentrate really hard.

very well constructed. It helped me a lot. Took me from not understanding a thing to understanding what is said along with learning new vocabulary and sentence formation. Liked the pictorial representation and captions. Can't get much better than this. Good job

I know this is just listening comp, but as a person somewhere between A-1 and A-2, i could understand most of what was being said but took it as an opportunity to learn new Wortschatz! Thank you for including subtitles in English for clarifying some of the words !
