Caller Question:
“I've dealt with a lot of anxiety in the past, both social anxiety and just general panic-y feelings, crippling self-doubt. This has gone on forever. But lately my friends have been saying they think I have ADHD. They've been sending me memes about ADHD and saying, "This is SO you!" And I have to admit. It is! A friend said there is a connection between ADHD and anxiety. Is that true?”

I lived with anxiety issues for a long time. Also developed depression during the worst of times. The last 30 years I have spent lots of time learning about and addressing probable adhd, and now the anxiety only happens every now and again when I'm triggered by other people's behaviour, and working on boundaries has helped a lot with that, thank you for your books and now podcasts, so helpful Yes there does seem to be a connection in my opinion.
