Servus! 🐽🐽🐽
Like the title, I've been homesick lately. I just feel incomplete no matter what 😫. 24 years spent in Vietnam, it's not only a place to live, it's where I formed my personalities, values and emotion. The most important part is food 🍜🥢🥢.
Hopefully some day next year, I would be able to come back where I was born and raised 🤒

What an awesome and emotional video. I am a german loving asia, thats why I was in china 6 times with chinese friends, and I love the people, their culture, their look and their behavior, but in many ways it is totally different to europe. That is fascinating, but can be hard at the same time. I admire everyone that have the strength and courage to move to another country or in this case to another continent. Being far away and thinking about the pros and cons of homeland makes you open your eyes and makes you thinking about what is important and what is not. And I am sure when you arrive back home you can enjoy and appreciate many things of the everyday life even more then before, but now is the time to take and benefit everything you have here. One old german comedian said once: "I am happy when it is raining, because when I am not happy it rains too".
It looks like you are a charming and thoughtful person. I wish you all the best. I hope to see Vietnam also some time. Enjoy your time here and take every brake to spent your vietnamnese life the time to keep it in your mind the best way you can.
By the way I played magic too. Nearly from the beginning when it startet in the mid 90s. Maybe I should have a look for them. They should have good values right now :)

Thank you very much for sharing. My three best friends at university are all from different countries (China, South Korea and Mexico). And I sometimes forget, how hard it must be for them. I am reminded everytime Christmas comes around or I spontaneously decide to visit my family which is only an hours drive away, while they need to book an expensive flight and take at least a week long vacation to go see them. But I do feel, like they can appreciate the time spent with their families even more and I feel so glad, when I see them so happy. Still it's not easy. Recently two of them even started long distance relationships relationships with their boyfriends, who live neither in germany nor in their homecountry, but in a completely different country (America/France). I really admire them, for how strong they are being, because I couldn't imagine not seeing my boyfriend for several months, even just one week is hard for me. So I try to be there for them as best I can, so they hopefully won't feel too lonely. I hope you don't feel sad and lonely all the time. I hope that overall there are more happy moments than sad ones. And I hope, you will soon be able to visit your family in vietnam, or maybe they could visit you in germany. Once, my friends mother came here and we got to meet her. She brought some delicous chinese food with her and was so nice! And my friend was so happy to be able to show her where she lives and studies, it was really wonderful.

Wow, this video was so wonderfully full of emotion. Sometimes one may think the grass is greener on the other side. Homesickness is something I've never experienced, but, you conveyed it quite well. I hope it passes and you are happy.

Hey I really think it’s getting better when we’ve got Spring or Summer. Our Season right now is sometimes a bit depressing especially when you’re from a warm country I could imagine.
Have fun and a good stay!

I completely understand you. I am German and have lived in Vietnam and America for over one year each. One advice I can give you is to just enjoy your experience while it lasts. Believe me when you are back home you will want to relive the time you were abroad. Don't worry much about what you are missing at home. Focus on yourself and your journey. Later you will remember the days you were happy and the great experiences you had and not the days you were homesick and sad. Maybe you doubt your decision sometimes and maybe it seems hard but going abroad and living on your own is the avsolute best thing you can do for yourself and your development. Your family and friends still love you :)

Sad to see you like that. In some days the sun will come out and hopefully takes away at least the hardest homesick feelings. Beside being homesick, even many Germans get a bit desperate at the winter weather time. Stay confident!

As someone who was depressed for the most time of my life I can tell you one thing.
There will be better times no matter how bad you feel at the moment. Time brings change!

Such a beautiful video.. 💗 I relate to this completely... I'm from Croatia, but studying in England...I was on the verge of giving up university this semester... I just miss home so much.. but I knew that giving up would eventually make me regret it.. I fought hard to study abroad, and spent a lot of money in the process... might as well finish it.

I don't have a feeling of homesickness anymore, i've moved around so much in my life already, me, my sister and my parents moved away from my 2 older siblings when i was 7, about 600km, so i wasnt really able to see them often and also lost my early childhood friends, when i was 15 the same repeated, my parents and i moved to another country, leaving my sister alone, when i was 21 i moved back myself to live with my long range gf and knew no one around there... we broke up now i live alone about 300 km from my siblings, 700km from my parents and without any close friends. I dont really feel home sickness, but i feel lonely sometimes :D. I think it gets better with time, especially when you have to do something and with someone.

Beautiful video! It is so hard to be alone sometimes and you understand how important your family and friends are for you. But you are here to learn something. Pay attention to the only few things which are really really important for you, and give them your love and energy. We have so many things in this internet world but i have understood in the last few months, what i really need are only a few things. There is so many things we dont need, and what doesnt make us feel good. But we still follow, because everybody is following.... Think about the few things and give them your love as often you can :)
Your environment is a mirror for yourself. You dont need anything to be happy, your happiness is in yourself :) I really like you and i want you to be happy here in Germany :). If you like to talk just send me a message :)
and for the next video please give us the servus intro :D
I am very excited about it.
Smile often and I wish you a nice evening <3

Well I know that asians most times more attached to their families theb europeans are. But in the end you will get used to it. You may now stick to your old friends but from my personal experience, most friends come and go after you finished a special part of your life, only a few stay and new ones will be made.
My wife is a chinese and we usually go to china every 2 years and visiting her parents. The only thing she very much disliked about coming here (this was before we knew each other) was that her grandmother passed away 1 month after she came to germany.
But overall she is still happy with her decision because she has the possibility to do what many others can not do or are to shy to do...
