As a table top Tesla coil made of acrylic, this serves as an awesome display piece or educational tool. This video follows the steps I took to build a new Tesla coil, and how you can build one yourself.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not attempt this build if new to electricity.

DO NOT attempt to repeat my demonstrations, without prior knowledge of electrical or fire safety. I do not hold responsibility or liability for damage or injury incurred by copying results seen in my videos. High voltage is not for those new to electricity!

QUICK NOTE: I mentioned the one hand rule for all those new to electricity, or, those unsure about what part of this coil may be safe to touch. Ironically, I used two hands right away. I did this only for cinematic effect - I do not recommend using two hands, ever, unless you are very familiar with your device (like I was). One hand rule at all times, I just did it for effect!

The presenter is my hero, for the video editing skills.

I get the science intuitively, but could never present it as nice. He's got skills I don't!

Nice touch with the little lego dragon in the background 😂

Wow that's beautiful! You are a master with acrylic. You've definitely gotten me hooked on brass hardware. Can't wait to try this build. I still have some of those capacitors from the 3 volt Tesla coil project. Thanks for making this video Jay.

Whats up Jay! Man you are one classy individual. Thanks for inspiring creativity! I spent my morning watching fractals through my new Quest 2 and learning about Mandelbrot and how he measured the coast of Breat Britain.

I have already begun a design of my smallest Tesla coil I've ever built, I believe Jay has see it, it will be an audio modulated version of this coil here except about 1/4 of the size. It will use an external driver for high power usage but with an integrated driver (Full Bridge for the external and Integrated drivers) that's in the base similar to his. I absolutely love the quality and effort put in to not only your high voltage work to make it amazing in appearance but also the quality of your videos!

Any plans for a solid state tesla coil? Maybe a mains slayer?

Amazing video as always. That was a beautiful coil build and even more amazing was the fact that it gets 3'' arcs from just 35 watts of power.
