I learned in this video that Newton would go without food while working. I am interested in the health effects of fasting. Perhaps because eating is regulated by the dopamine pathway, Newton was amplifying his dopamine reward system to drive his studies. I might test this myself, withholding food reward until I am satisfed with my own work performance. I might also try simple, plain meals as a way of amplifying the reward system.
