When you don't prosecute petty theft, you get more theft of all kinds.

I have lived in Pomona since 1970. I am 77 tears old. I have raised three children here.
This story sounds like the Pomona P.D.
Several months ago, I had my handicapped van stolen from my driveway.
A neighbor gave me and the Pomona PD pictures of the homeless men who stole my van. I recognized these men from seeing them outside of the 7-11 near my house. Months later, I located my van at the bottom of a hill where the homeless camp. The police were of no help to me at all. I have no respect for them.

DUH - make it a felony to steal it and make it a felony for scrap companies to receive it and lose their business permit to operate.

Guaranteed if someone called the police and said there’s an armed man with a gun the whole department would have been out there in minutes

60 stolen fire hydrants in the last four months...and at 6:00 am on a Sunday morning it takes 30 minutes for an officer to respond for an in progress crime that jeopardizes fire safety? Pomona residents deserve better.
