I'd like to have carryover in both manual and memory mode. Is this possible with the ES-8?

reading so much. So man online help for Boss. Its great. But is there a diagram of using two es-8's in series ? I assume sync' with midi as there is no ext syc cable but then; why not two sets of those midi plugs ? Must be a series loop with all the reset ? HELP.
