I don't babytalk my cats, I talk to them like normal but also just very lovingly I guess. Our cat actually very recently, in an opportune moment for him, went into the one part of the house he's not allowed to be in (we have a resident with a bit of a cat allergy) and my grandma was just like: "Tawny. You don't belong up here, come back down right now, " In a stern but patient voice, and waited with her hands on her hips... and Tawny pops out from under the chair up there, trots past my grandma and back out of the Forbidden Zone like nothing happened 😂😂 he's a good boy, he just can't help being playful and pushing at boundaries lmao, he's smart as a whip.

Animals in general can be so much smarter than people give them credit for... but I will not argue that intelligence is a spectrum especially among pets, and there are truly some pets existing with a single brain cell in this world that just can't and that's perfectly okay 🤣🤣

Heh, the narrator says that cats generally don't want to be held, and then 80% of the videos in the background are of cats being held lol

I make monkey noises to my cat which funny enough she responds to. I make sure to vary my grunts based on context

According to this, I as an autist shouldn't have a cat 😶

I never used baby voice to my kid either, and I don't have the usual "tones" that people usually have. Neither the "right" body language.
- But none the less, I'm really good with cats; almost every cat that I have met likes me. (Even those I have been told are "difficult") -:)

The cats in the collective responded when i said eow, but not when i said meow...

They probably said: you said it was dinner time
