I disagree with his 'no consequences' assertion.. believers right now are trying to strip away rights and freedom because they go against their faith. Belief in the make believe has major consequences.

All explanations for existence and our place in it just don't fulfill our need. We are still wanting. Existence is unfathomable.

Life is not in its own pocket dimension which means that the part of the universe that has fashioned itself into life is sentient. The universe is sentient, life is not some magic disconnected thing from the rest of the universe, it's an integral part of some aspect of the universe we are living in.

He is an ignostic, meaning the question of whether a supreme being exists or not is irrelevant amidst the issues in the world (that last part is an extra corolary I added).

Are you aware you can link to the whole video in a short or have you not released it yet? I would like to watch that. Never seen you in my life until this. This would be the time to link viewers to long form.

The question didn’t seem about aliens as much as divine power in the universe. His answer was clearly about if he believes there is a higher powerful entity. But it’s not about the existence of aliens wether they would be powerful or not. His opinion on the aliens issue was cleared in another interview somewhere else.
