The biggest joke from apple lately was them removing the charging block and saying there are enough blocks out there, then switching the cable in the box to one that doesn't work with all the blocks out there.

The point of a USB-C iPhone is to make it easier for users because now you can carry just a single type connector instead of multiple. Making a portless iPhone with wireless and magsafe charging just doesn't solve the issue, and in fact makes it worse. People will still have to carry everywhere an additional charger for their iPhone and now it will not be the lightning which everyone has, but a magsafe which relatively far lesser do. And if you don't have your charger, you have far lesser people than before that you can borrow it from.

Could not agree more on that e-vaste topic. Apple lock their users in an ecosystem using a proprietary connections and now they claim that a change to usb-c would be a big waste. Come on that is infuriating.

The main issue I see with portless phones is that you cant really use your phone while charging, also charging your phone in the car will be worse There are so many downsides to this currently, the whole point of this new law is to make things easier

At first I thought: what? It's 100% confirmed, Apple will switch to USB-C. But as the video progressed and Dave made his points, I changed my mindset. You are right Dave, that would totally be the Apple way to do it.
Also I really like this video style, the camera and audio quality is still excellent and its like talking with a old friend, it's more personal. Thank you for taking this video during your trip for us.
