Marvel's Spider-Man 2 which was released exclusively for the PS5 is developed by Insomniac Games. It is indeed one of my favourite games from 2023 as the story leads Peter Parker & Miles Morales Taking On Kraven The Hunter & Venom ! However, the game does not reach the Masterpiece level as there are some issues that hold it back. So in this video let's discuss where exactly Spider-Man PS5 went wrong including the Spider-Man Symbiote Suit (i.e Spider-Man Black Suit) and Spider-Man Vs Venom.

Let’s face it, the game isn’t perfect. No game is perfect. But I really don’t think it’s as terrible as everyone saying it is. All the way up until the third act, the pacing, the writing, and the missions didn’t feel any different from the vibe of the first game. For the most part, I think there were missions and writing that was better than the first game. But the pacing really did suffer during the third act, it was still fun to play through and for me the moments that were meant to be emotional did land. I think the dynamic between Miles and Peter was solid, Peter and MJ’s relationship was pretty wholesome, and seeing what happened between Peter and Harry was actually kind of heartbreaking. If the third act just had a little bit more time to be fleshed out I think the whole game would’ve been something incredible.

I mean, we got some pretty cool redemption arcs with Martin Li and Miles coming to terms with each other, Mysterio actually being a regular guy now. We also had a really well-developed Kraven who wanted to go down fighting instead of in a hospital bed. So really, I think what needed just a little bit more time was the Symbiote and Venom Arc. It was fun, but at the same time not nearly as developed as the rest of the game. That’s what I think.

Needless to say, even 8 months later, I still feel like I got my money’s worth with this game. Is it perfect? No. But is it worthy of absolutely ZERO praise? Absolutely not.

I respect your opinion. Some side missions are really tedious and venom was a bit rushed, but it's still one of the best games of the year for me

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is pretty much perfect for me, except for the fact that it lacked the emotional punch that the previous two games had. Also, I believe Insomniac had to rush this game, which explains many of the issues people have with the game. I hope Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 doesn’t have to go through the same development hurdles.

I love the stories in spider man games, but thats not really why i bought it, i bought it because of the gameplay. Now i gotta say that it was very good, but it just had a shit ton of glitches, even just the small things like npc’s that were floating sometimes really hurt my experience with the game. I have a bad habit of noticing small problems and not letting go. But it was still a very good game, just needed one more year to get patched up.

Bro, many of the side missions in Batman: Arkham City are literally ended on a cliff hanger after introducing the villain. Games have been doing this for years and it doesn’t affect how good the side mission is. A set up is just as important as it’s climax.

The thing i hate most about Spiderman 2, is that Venom’s host isn’t Eddie Brock, but otherwise it’s a really good game.

I believe this game was more so to show off the Ps5's capabilities and it does that very well overall amazing game

its also the fact that the game is littered with bugs, I still get the no crime bug, and there was also a lack of customisation for a long time with the whole not being able change time of day/weather and not being able to switch tendril colours and parry/movement options, but even with all that fixed they should have been an option from the beginning it should have been the baseline. I had somewhat low expectations because I didn't want to be disappointed, but I was still expecting a lot more symbiotic suit customisation.

I love the swinging and the agent venom inclusion but apart from that nothing else reached my expectations.

Spider Man 2 is an incredible game. It's not really hated. People these days hate on everything these days. It doesn't matter of that piece of media is good or not, people hates on everything these days. It's well received by critics and fans and sold plenty of copies well. They are just mad because they expect every games to be perfect. Not every game has to be that way. It has flaws but the good outweighs the bad.

3:32 excuse me sir but only the third act with Venom was rushed as per Bryan Intihar. Peter's symbiote arc was handled well. Although I would have love to see missions centered on symbiote Peter though. Granted the game could have been better in a way where all 3/3 acts are great instead of 2/3 acts being the only acts good.
